Dua For Wudu | Dua
For Wudu in English Urdu
|
|
There exist two
categories of cleanliness and purification: the first pertains to
the purification of one's mind, while the second concerns the
purification of one's body. It is obligatory to perform Wudu before
offering prayers. To enhance the effectiveness of your Wudu, you can
recite certain supplications (Duas) that were used by the Prophet
Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him). These two supplications
are likely already familiar to you. While reciting this Dua is not
mandatory, it is recommended as it follows the tradition (sunnah) of
the Prophet Muhammad (SAW). |
|
Hadrat Umar ibn Al-Khattab (RA)
reported that he had heard Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) say that whoever
performs Wudu and concludes it by reciting the declaration of faith,
"I bear witness that none has the right to be worshipped except
Allah Alone, He has no partners; and I bear witness that Muhammad is
his Messenger," will have all eight gates of Paradise opened for
them, allowing them to choose through which they will enter. |
|
The Dua before beginning wudu is just
reciting bismillah along with having the right intention which is to
perform the wudu for Allah. |

Benefits and Why You Should Recite This Dua
|
Performing
ablution or Wudhu is mandatory before offering any prayer, be it
obligatory or sunnah. It serves as a means of self-purification,
and reciting a specific dua after intending to perform Wudhu can
help complete the ritual. While reciting this dua is not
obligatory, it is a recommended practice to perfect your Wudhu.
Wudhu itself is an act of worship, and perfecting your ablution
before prayers is one of the best deeds to enhance your prayers.
By performing Wudhu correctly, you can alleviate concerns and
worries about your prayer, such as whether you have performed
the correct number of rakaah. The dua has several meanings that
we, as humans, should acknowledge and recite throughout the day
as a means of remembering Allah and His greatness. It involves
bearing witness to Allah's Oneness and that Prophet SAW is His
Messenger. It also expresses our hope of being among the
repentant and those who purify themselves and seeking
forgiveness and repentance. |
